Artist Francis Uprichard brings her group show Bart Wells Boutique to the Brompton Road. In 2001 Uprichard co-founded the Hackney-based artist-run exhibition space called the Bart Wells Institute with fellow artist, Luke Gotellier.

The group has taken over the J Hardy’s jewellery shop at 235 Brompton Road. The jewellers has been a much-loved fixture in Brompton for over 100 years, but the jewellers has sadly left the Victorian premises this autumn.

The rare antique shop front is used to display art works for this temporary exhibition during Frieze Art Fair. The show consists of large paintings by Sophie von Hellermann and Peter MacDonald, and sculptures by Martino Gamper, Sam Basu and Upritchard herself, placed around the shop in an ad hoc fashion.
